Hello From The Midwest!

I’m coming to you today from lovely Chicago! Every year, I make the trek with my work buddies to hear the latest and greatest about what’s going on in my field, at the PMA legal conference. I’m thankful to have a job that let’s us further our education a bit! The main bummer about coming here is that there is never time to explore the city! It’s arrival, dinners, conference, conference, dinners, conference, airport. I know, know….first world problems. My photo taking is usually limited to what I see out of my hotel window, like this shot I took last year:

Such a big city and so flat! I’ve never been east of here {in the US} and other than Chicago, my only other eastward bound visit has been Utah. We really need to travel the world sometime!

So, I’ll have pictures and a re-cap when I return {I’ve actually been here since Monday, hehe} but in the meantime, I thought I’d share 2 nuggets of randomness with you today.

First, I NEVER thought I would be a deep dish pizza girl but ever since I was exposed to Giordano’s 3 years ago, I’m sold. It’s the BEST. I love it so much and I love my husband so much too, that I had a Giordano’s pizza overnighted to our house so Josh could try it for the first time and also not have to worry about dinner while I was gone. He was pretty surprised when a frozen box showed up at the door. It’s definitely worth the overnight fedex charge, I promise.

Second, and this isn’t really Chicago specific, BUT…I’m very entertained and excited to have 3 full hours of uninterrupted time on the airplane. Having a toddler is chaotic so it’s been a real treat to sit….and be quiet. I’m listening to Tina Fey’s book on audio, and of course, catching up on The Pretty Good Podcast; my daily lifeline. I love them so much!
