Last weekend, we joined my parents for a quick 1 1/2 hour drive over the Cascade Mountains to one of my favorite places: Leavenworth. Even though the downtown is magical, there are 2 other places that I love almost just as much. The first is the river. There are quiet, wooded trails that go all along the backside of town and it’s such a nice getaway from the hubbub of main street. The second spot is Smallwood’s Harvest {a place we’ve been many times before} full of animals, food, and playtime.
I have a real soft spot for goats and llamas….
One of the real reasons we spent the day together was to celebrate my dad turning the big 6-0! I can’t believe it!
Of course, the day was not complete without ice cream cones, something that is on our summer bucket list and just so happened to be Sky’s very first REAL cone. HE LOVED IT.
