Is it just me or are there a lot of Emily’s in blog land? Maybe because my name is Emily, they stick out to me….kind of like when you get a new car and then start seeing your same vehicle everywhere!?
What I find more interesting than the volume of Emily’s…..is the type of Emily’s. I’ve never met one who is not cheerful, funny, witty, or creative. They all also usually have giggly laughs and good senses of style/color/patterns when it comes to wearing and decorating. Isn’t that weird? {Note to self: research Nomenology - the study of names & personality traits}.
Today, I wanted to share just a few of my favorite Emily’s with you – ones I read on a daily basis and love….not just because they are great bloggers with good content, but probably because we could probably be friends in real life.

Emily might be my long lost sister….but then that would be weird because what parent would name their kids Emily and Emily? I think we share the same sense of humor and quirkiness {in a good way!} and I can usually be found laughing out loud to every one of her blog posts. Although we share similarities {aka – we make cute kids and both married our high school/college sweethearts}, we are also not alike in that Emily manages to take care of SIX kids and makes it look like a breeze! She probably has more patience and understanding than I ever will. Saintly! I just really love her.

Hailing from the same small town, Emily and I were always a few years apart in school. Her younger sister was actually in my grade so I’m not even sure Emily knows who I am. She probably also doesn’t know that her beautiful mom had a huge influence on me in middle school since she worked at the school and I got to spend a lot of time with her when I was a student helper in the counseling office. Aside from all that, Emily writes a lovely blog about her four gorgeous kiddos, home decorating, and fun craft projects. Her sense of decorating style is impeccable and she’s always coming up with fun new ways to make her home beautiful, yet functional for her family of six.

Emily is a pro in the design world. When she’s not blowing my mind with guidance on reupholstering vintage furniture or ideas for affordable, beautiful art, she’s doing things like winning Design Star and hosting her own show on show on HGTV. Her mix of old and new constantly inspires me {see for yourself!} and most importantly, I love all of her outfits always. I seriously want to raid her closet.
