Last weekend, Sky found our old point and shoot digital camera and has been hooked ever since. He’s careful enough now that I let him use it. He runs around the house yelling things like “SAY CHEESE” and “Lily, sit still so I can take your picture”. It’s so adorable.
I’ve been thinking of something to give to him when his baby brother arrives as a “present” from his new sibling. Maybe a camera of his own? There are lots of great toddler options out there that take pretty decent photos. Any suggestions?
A smattering of his pictures. Obviously, trucks are very important! All photos by Sky.
This boy makes me want to tear my hair out on so many occasions….but when that’s not happening, he sure is the best thing in the world. Watching him take pictures, pretend to focus the camera, and then seeing the huge smile of satisfaction on his face when he does it all by himself is priceless! He's the cutest!

Our girls LOVE the VTech camera for kids, and I love perusing the file on my computer full of the pictures they take. The original was a present to Annika at Mayzie's birth. They just got a newer one for Christmas that also takes video.

Oh my goodness, so cute! Let me know what camera you end up with, I think this is something Lily would really enjoy!

We got Avery the Disney Princess camera from Target and it doesn't have a flash... so every picture is blurry. So maybe don't get him the Cars one they have there ;)

Ha, wonderful. It's so great to see what children capture. I think my nephew had a fischer price one or something and it seemed pretty low quality as far as the pictures go. Hopefully there is something better out there.

We got the Fisher Price one on Amazon for T as a present when M was born, and she loves it, but the shutter is SLOOOOW and the pictures are bad.
If S is not too destructive, an old "real" camera might be the right answer. If I got a do-over, that's what we'd get for T instead of the Fisher Price. (She does love her camera, though!)
